This is a 24-hour confidential service open to all age groups. The service offers immediate access to emergency contraception and advice on request from a doctor or a nurse.

You can also now contact your local pharmacy for free contraception, including the morning-after pill.

getUBetter app – to support you to self-manage all common muscle or joint conditions

Working in partnership with the NHS, getUBetter – getUBetter App designed to provide you with the knowledge, confidence, and skills to self-manage all common muscle or joint conditions. It is designed to be used alongside the health system and therefore will signpost you back into the system if you need additional review.

It is suitable for 80% of muscle or joint conditions, which includes new, ongoing or returning muscle or joint conditions. If you are already on a waiting list for treatment, it can support you while you are waiting.

The app covers a range of musculoskeletal injuries, these include:

·         Shoulder

·         Elbow

·         Wrist

·         Hand

·         Hip

·         Knee

·         Ankle

·         Foot

·         Lower limb tendinopathy

Diabetes Management

Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person’s blood sugar level to become too high.

There a 2 main types of Diabetes:

Type 1 diabetes – where the body’s immune system attacks and destroys the cells that produce insulin.

Type 2 diabetes – where the body does not produce enough insulin, or the body’s cells do not react to insulin.

Type 2 diabetes is far more common than type 1. In the UK, around 90% of all adults with Diabetes have type 2.
